The correct answer, a response

"To respond is positive, to react is less"
Never settle for less. Never allow less. Actually, when you "react" to words or a situation, you are not in any condition to make any kind of choice. Ever hear the expression "knee-jerk" reaction? I think of that a couple of ways, both of which help me to understand the difference between respond and react.
- "Knee-jerk" gets it's name from what your leg does involuntarily when the doc bangs on your knee with that red hammer.
- Re-act is just that acting again and again. It implies that the action is without thought or consideration.
A response is evaluated and a reflection of your true intentions. So when things happen in your life don't be less and react but be positive and true; take a breath and respond.
